Need a lift?

No!
Do it yourself!

I try not to spread the bad mood, but I hate silly, empty-head, full-of-laziness human beings!

Moooooooove!

Workaholic #2

There are times when I cannot separate work from personal life. Twice! How could I? How could anyone – who is deeply committed to his/her own work – disconnect?

There is no switch on/off. You look outside and see triggers of brainstorms that eventually lead to a great idea. All that colour. All that… wait a minute! Yes, that’s it! Life starts gradually. It isn’t math we are dealing with here. It’s life! Thus, a biologist will never be able to either see 0’s or 1’s.

There is so much more out there, yet so simple, it hurts!

And I miss it, just like the deserts miss the rain...

North Atlantic

It is unique. In its greatness I have swam, wander, and rely.
I am proud of being part of it.

North Atlantic, a vast source of life.
What are you doing to protect your ocean? Our ocean?

Speaking of which, check this out.

Born in the 80's

Even though I can’t recall what was happening back there, I know the impact these decade had on the following generations.

I am proud of being born in the 80’s, raised in the 90’s, and experienced the change of the century.

What the heck? No, not really. There was no change at all. The humanity is doomed! Doomed to a self-centered disease. Are we hopeless?

Run them up

Rush to your local food store and get some fresh runner beans!

As usual, the Eat the Seasons website launches recipes with the seasonal food of the week.

I would argue that any bean fits perfectly well with a salad.
I am hoping for some good-old-times-sake fishing tomorrow. Cross your fingers!

The basis of life

Can you please define a bloom?
Eeerrrr

Yes, that’s it, folks. I am trying to define a bloom based on daily, 100 Km resolution, satellite data. Think about it and let me know a.s.a.p.!

The bigger, the better

Double sized snacks have a great advantage. Depending on your craving, you may opt for the perfect-sized snack. I like keep my options open.

Regarding the size issue, there is a theory that claims that “the bigger, the better”. I may have mentioned this theory on a previous post (have I?), but here it goes again for those who have an incredible memory, such as mine is.

If you are a prey, you should consider investing in growing bigger, rather than in achieving a longer life. Moreover, you should consider growing as fast as possible, so you get out of the “predatory window”. This window is basically the size-spectrum that a predator can handle, i.e. there is a minimum size above which a predator (depending on the type of predator we are dealing with, if it is a filter-feeding predator, then pretty much everything enters, then it just expels what isn’t important) starts considering. At this same point in time and space, the cost of preying is surpassed by the profit – both nutritionally and energetically. There is also a maximum size over which the predator is no longer able to ingest the prey due to the size of its own mouth. So you better grow faster to surpass the size of your predator’s mouth, right?

And today is the day when a LOT of things happen.

Life-centered roots

I will never forget my roots, but Copenhagen is definitely a great place to live.

I love cycling!
It gives me so much pleasure, and I am all about pleasure seeking.

A grain, a green, and a bean + one more

This is no rocket science, but it Is quite obvious – one of those things you won’t miss, unless you are a single-life goal person. What I mean is that this is pretty straight-forward.

A grain, a green and a bean. Read more about this hereA grain, a green and a beanas opposed to “the not so good, the possibly equally bad, and the extremely ugly” concept.

A grain, a green, and a bean – have you had your share of these today? I would add a seed. I eat so many seeds per day, you wouldn’t believe.

A grain, a green, and a bean: that’s all you need for a perfect, and nutritionally complete meal. Even if you don’t fancy vegetarianism, you may base your food plans on these components (a grain, a green, a bean, and a seed), and you are ready to go. Come on, if the athletes can do it, why can’t you?

(pin)hole mode

My D got company. Now it's my double D.

He got me a pretty new D. A multi-pinhole one. I have never thought about getting one myself, but he knows me. He knows I get inspired by this type of triggers. I could spent hours on it.

He even allows me to use his mobile as a light meter.

Oh yeah, this was just a random night at Rantzausgade 28.

Introducing raw food

Even I was a little bit skeptical, but gosh, it was AMAZING!

So rich, so colourful, so complete!

Seriously, try it if you can. I was so full afterwards. It is so intense – both the food and the experience. I totally recommend it. I am looking for raw food restaurants everywhere now, and I am glad that CPH welcomes them extremely well.

“Don’t panic, it’s organic”

And I do almost panic when I see so many wrong food-wise choices being made. I get nervous, seriously. So many diseases (including depression) we could be avoiding just by eating properly.

Unfortunately, these gorgeous examples of food are not mine. I wish they were. I wish I could grow such delicious ingredients for my daily life. I had the opportunity to try them, but that was all.

Whenever you are experiencing some sort of craving for a terrible choice, think again. I am sure there is a much better (and healthier) alternative.

Fireworks and fairy tales

In need of some deep thoughts. This is not the place to be, but it's good enough to get inspired to take some pictures.

Shooting in the dark is in my top, no doubts.
Oh, and the Olympics started. Good luck, folks!

I’m only happy when it rains

Ok, maybe not. I am confident to say I am pretty adaptable.
